The guitar tech for Kings of Leon shows off their guitar and effect rigs. I like how straight forward they are, not really any trickery, all standard tunings, pretty straight up rigs. They just know how to write great rock music. I also dig that their lead guitarist plays my amp, Ampeg Reverbrocket FTW!

Kinda funny that we have an inarticulate interviewer with an inarticulate guitar tech. I especially like how a guy that has worked for the band for 7 years doesn't know the name of the songs.
When I saw the Voodoo Lab Ground Control on both pedalboards, I expected to see a rack like something The Edge uses. Not so. The pedals in the rack would hardly fill up 1 SKB ps-45 or the large Pedaltrain. Seems like just more points for failure to me, but to each his own I suppose.
I know I thought that was funny he couldn't remember the name of the tune. Yeah did seem like the ground control was a little overkill for their setup.
interesting that a rock band that was raised on Pentecostal church pews would be featured on a Christian music site…
That is interesting, but I didn't know they were raised on church pews.
Hey Jay, I was the sound engineer for a group that toured all over the world for 5+ years, and was also involved in most of the studio work, and I have to admit that the names of songs escaped me many times, simply because you are always working on other newer songs besides those that are just the ones on the set list.
