So excited to do an acoustic set, I think the congregation will respond really well to that!

We do acoustic sets relatively often, and they always go over really well. There's something about switching it up and stripping away some of the production that seems to really resonate with our folks.

a friend of mine recently challenged me to have a whole month of acoustic worship - just AC guitar, piano, AC bass and some kind of percussion that's not a regular drum set. It was a fascinating experience for me because it challenged all of us into the realization that deep heartfelt worship can be found in various expressions and the inevitable genre changes that happen when you move towards an acoustic sound rather than the traditional church-band sound. Thanks for sharing your experience about this past week's service!

Love Daniel's comment. That is awesome to hear, and very encouraging! That will be very refreshing to jump into an acoustic sesh.Ryan Delmore's acoustic version of 'Jesus Name' is a must hear.
I prefer being compared to Mcgruber ;) For any drummer who reads this post and my comment- USE ANYTHING BUT RIBBON to take care of a situation like that (unless it's all you've got).

Awesome setlist....really like John Mark's songs, "True Love" by Phil Wickham and your thoughts on an all-acoustic set. We pulled that out once, and it is one of the best worship moments we have ever experienced as a group. I think we did "It Is Well" and people dove in - beautiful.
