Guitar players know how live rigs work, you go through phases, tone phases, effects phases, minimalist to surrounding yourself in stompboxes. You sell things only to buy them back a couple years later. Well poor musicians like myself do anyway. So I find myself rebuilding a lot of what I tore down a couple years ago, but this time I have clearer vision to the tone I’m aiming for. I’m pretty close right now, but need a few things.
Current Gear:
- Guitar: Sunburst American Strat
- Amp: Ampeg Reverb Rocket 212
- SKB Powered Pedalboard
Pedals:
- Boss Tu-2 Tuner
- Boss DD2 Delay (selling)
- Matchless Hotbox
- Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive
- EHX Deluxe Memory Man
- Schaller Tremelo
- Vox Wah
My Shopping List:
- VooDoo Labs Power Supply 2 (my SKB pedalboard power supply is dead and sux anyway)
- Ernie Ball Mono Volume Pedal
- EHX Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker
- Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler
- Pedaltrain PT-Pro Pedalboard (current SKB board stinks)
- EHX Holy Grail Plus Reverb
- MXR Phase 100
Plenty more on the list long term, but this is my short term list and it’s over $1,000. Don’t tell my wife, she’ll pass out. BUT this is where you come in. If you or any one you know is selling any of this gear used, please pass it by me. I’d rather not get all this new. Or you can goto the ORS Store and buy some gear to help a brutha out. Contribute to my stimulus.

It’s always fun to tweak your rig. Does this mean you are done with Guitar Rig, and going direct? Or is that already old news?
The last few weeks I’ve been playing with my amp. I’m just really digging the tone I’m getting now out of it. So for now I’m not using Guitar Rig live, but will probably still use it for demos and some the guitar work on loops.
I’m the same way.
I’ll let you know if I come across any of the stuff you want.
put it in the budget. I wish we could buy them for you… You deserve it.
