Loop available: “Hosanna” by Hillsong

I’ve been working on this loop for a few weeks and used it twice in service. I’ve been with-holding it’s release because I have a few more ideas that I want to try out before I ‘ll consider it done, but I figure why not expose that process. So I’m going to release this loop for Hosanna as version 1, when I complete it I’ll release another version and you can see the difference. I’ve made available 2 versions below, one with acoustic and the other without.

There’s a couple things to watch out for on this loop that differ from the album arrangement.

  1. Intro starts with a pad, then drum pattern, then the piano riff comes in. Verse 1 starts at bar 35 (00:53)
  2. The solo section is twice as long. I do a solo for the first half then we sing a tag that I wrote on the back half. Solo section comes in at bar 119 (3:05) and stops at bar 151 (3:55).

I think besides those 2 things I repeat sections as the album does. Don’t forget to rate the loop below and please comment with any questions or feedback you may have.

Song: Hosanna, HillsongSavior King
Key: D
Bpm: 153
Intro: 2 bar click in

If you download this loop or you’ve benefited in any way or are appreciative of the service, I’d ask that you please consider donating whatever you feel the loop is worth. The amount (including $0) I leave up to you.

Love this loop. Would love a version minus the piano and guitar if you’ve got it!

Thanks Bryan! Sure I can mute out whatever you like. As far as pianos go, which ones don’t you want? Keep pads and just mute the main grand and rhodes pianos?

I would love to have this loop without the rhodes and the grand as well.

Also, I downloaded the Reason file but can’t seem to get it to open properly in the program. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Anthony: The Reason file is for Reason 4.x, it won’t work on 3.x , what version do you have? I’ll update the post with a no piano version as requested.

hello, i have reason 4, but i cannot open the reason file of this loop. i just get a bunch of text code stuff. what am i doing wrong

    Brent,

Make sure when you download the file you save it with the proper .rns extension. If that is left off or changed then Reason won’t open it correctly.

Is this in the same key as the original? I don't think the original is in D

Wayne, the original is in E. I dropped it down a step. I've posted a few articles on how to transpose loops if you need to do that.

I am just dumping it into garageband, so I am not sure if I can transpose, but if I can, please let me know. Thanks,

Thanks so much, I will give it a try. I have a couple female leads that want the original key.

Cody,Just right click on the mp3 download links at the bottom of the post and select Save As or Save Target As, depending on your browser version. As far as the click track goes I don't pan my loops with click tracks. I use Ableton Live to manage the click, sometimes I create audio cue tracks along with the loops, but again those are managed via Ableton Live.I do specify the tempo though so you can create your own click if you aren't using Ableton.
