Sunday Set List – “Was that the congregation whoa’ing?”
Tagged Under : church, Delirious, Hillsong, Hillsong United, John Mark McMillan, loops, Sunday Set List, worship
First service in 2009 and despite having a lot of folks still out on vacation it was a really amazing service. Unfortunately we don’t have any crowd mics, so I don’t get much of any congregation feedback through my in ears. If I can hear the congregation singing I know they are really belting it out. I was amazed to hear an organic, reprise develop from the congregation of the “whoas” at the end of With Everything. That’s not an easy thing to do with a congregation of our size. But With Everything has really hit our church and it worked perfectly with the series that was opened this week on prayer.
We also brought back Lead Me to the Cross but this time with a loop that changed it up. I heard from quite a few people that the set went well, and I agree that both musically and congregationally, worship was fantastic. Getting those 2 to co-exist is usually easier said than done. Here’s the set:
- I Am A Temple – John Mark McMillan
- Lead Me to the Cross – Hillsong United (loop available)
- My Soul Sings – Delirious (loop available)
- How He Loves – John Mark McMillan
- With Everything – Hillsong (loop available)
This post is part of Fred McKinnon’s Set List Sundays.

Lead Me To The Cross rocked. That was awesome how it flowed. With Everything has become one of my favorite songs recently and that “whoas” part I believe was so passionate from the congregation. Great job.
Was that whoa’ing on the CD or did that just happen? I was so blessed by worship this week!!
PA: Yeah the whoas are on the record, but I wouldn’t expect a congregation our size to be able to pull it off. So I was really surprised to be able to hear it through my in ears which means it was really loud.
I love “Lead me to the Cross” and How He loves” two great songs!
Steffanie,
I love lead me to the cross also… but the way kyle remixed it was taking that song to a whole new level. It was such a fresh remix. I only wished it was longer… LOL. I felt like the song was over before it started.
I remember, during praise and worship that Sunday, thinking is that us, the congregation? I even opened my eyes to look at the band and they were not singing into the mic… Yep, it was us. How pure it sounded and beautiful it was. I do believe that it was music to God’s ears… I guess that’s just what happens, when you give God everything during worship…
