1 $20 dollar hand saw from Lowe’s + 1 $15 dollar contact microphone = endless hours of whale mating noises. Very handy.

My 97 year old grandfather has been playing the saw (with a violin bow) in conservative baptist churches for years. This is nothing new… However, I’m sure he would not approve of running it through ANY type of effects processor. The piano, organ, and saw are all he has, and I am sure these indi-experimental young-bucks just ruined the saw for him. What’s next..? contact mics on the jaw harp!? (that may not be such a bad idea.)
no… I got it a contact mic on the spoons.
