I think it's interesting that there is so much discussion about what worship "should" be and how it can be used or manipulated to entice the lost. To me it is so simple, worship is for God. Anyone can go up on stage or sing in the middle of their bedroom, "Mary had a little Lamb," as long it is pure of heart and with the intent of being grateful to the One that provides all and is all.
I don't mean to trivialize worship in the church setting, I just feel that often that so much energy is focused on everything else; sound, style, discussion when my hope is that worshippers write the songs that come directly from God without the worry of the results, He will take care of that.
Otherwise, it feels as though "worship" in itself becomes idolotrous.
