80s music video day: Debarge “Rhythm of the Night”

One of the great 80s dance jams. I still jam out to this when I hear it come on in the grocery store. Even though it was written by Diane Warren, DeBarge still pulled of an amazing performance and put on that magical touch that only androgynous 80s R&B pop stars can do. And yes they are complete Lionel Richie hacks…we’ll do Lionel some justice here soon don’t worry.
