Man sues church for $2.5million after Holy Spirit knocks him down

Matt Lincoln is suing Lakewind Church (not Lakewood, although it would have made a lot of sense) for $2.5million after getting so consumed with the Holy Spirit that he fell down and smacked his head. Matt says he was praying to have a “real experience.” Wonder if he considers this an answer to prayer.

Apparently he needs $2.5 million to cover medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering. Doesn’t he know the Christian life is one of suffering? He needs to read Romans 5:3,

“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance”.

Cmon Matt….rejoice! God answered your prayer, you are fellowshipping in His sufferings!

Matt, Matty, Matthew. What the heck are you doing man? This is crazy. I pray this does not work. This could cause a huge outbreak of people sueing churches for stupid reasons.

This is funny. Lincoln should be the one paying 2.5 million dollars to the church, considering he’s had this “real experience”. And if the lawsuit fails, that’s what he’ll be paying anyway.

Sounds like it was not the Holy Spirit that got him, but a spirit from a bottle!!
