If I were using a PC instead of a mac I might be more worried about that. I've never had that happen so I guess I'm not all that worried about it. Guitar Rig is a really well made app and OSX is a great operating system. That said I don't really have any backup measure that I could take if it crashed live other than just switch over to my acoustic or the piano.
