O Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas songs and Ronni played the Natalie Grant version for me and it really is powerful. I also am a lover of Christmas music but find that there are no quality Christmas songs being written any more (now I haven't listed to the previously critiqued album that Kyle posted about so...maybe that will prove me wrong) but I would love to see the church writing fresh and inspiring Christmas songs that could be sung in a worship service. the old ones are great but they are so dang wordy and it would be cool to have something new to sing around Christmas that really captures the point of it all, Jesus. Well, maybe I will set about to do that but it seems like a very daunting task, maybe that is why there aren't more songs coming out of this season each year but I'll give it a go.
